Summary

Contra Arquitetura is an architecture firm based in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, specializing in residential, commercial, interior, and product design projects. As the firm entered a period of growth, the partners recognized the importance of enhancing their online presence to build credibility and attract new clients.

The goal was to create a website that highlighted the firm’s diverse portfolio while providing institutional and contact information. The design brief was clear: a minimalist and sophisticated aesthetic that aligned with the existing brand identity and reflected the high standard of their work.

To achieve this, I developed a design that seamlessly combines elegance and functionality. The streamlined color palette features a dark background to let the project images take center stage, paired with white text for optimal contrast and readability. Red was strategically used in the footer as an accent color, adding a subtle yet distinctive touch to draw attention.

Typography played a key role in reinforcing the clean, modern look. I chose Neue Haas Grotesk Text for body text and Darker Grotesque for headings. Both sans-serif fonts share simple, timeless designs with subtle details that add a sense of character and refinement.

To enhance the user experience, we incorporated subtle animations throughout the site. These thoughtful interactions create a dynamic and engaging experience, surprising visitors and underscoring the brand’s exclusive and sophisticated identity.
